Turn The Wedding Bell Blues Into Ways To Lose

Bergen County, NJ (PRWEB) February 27, 2006 -- For June brides, planning for that perfect wedding is now fully under way. 'Tis the season for heading to bridal shows, contacting florists and caterers and ordering invitations--everything needed to make the big day perfect.

Now is also the time, says The Fitness Leader owner Kevin Valluzzi, for prospective brides to think about how they're going to look their best for the biggest day in their lives--not to mention for all those pictures.

"Plenty of women, and men too, take a fast and furious approach as the date gets closer," says Valluzzi. "That's the last thing you want to do. Not eating is a terribly unhealthy thing to do to your body. Plus, the lack of energy from a lack of proper nutrition will cause the stress of planning such an event to seem that much greater."

Valluzzi offers this advice to anyone who has an upcoming event for which they want to look their best:

1) Plan ahead--It takes time to lose weight properly. A pound of FAT per week is a realistic and healthy goal for anyone. The more time you allow for sustained loss of weight, the better.

2) Implement a muscle-building strength training program -- Muscle is the only tissue in the human body that burns fat for energy. Plus, it will give the lean, toned look that looks great in pictures.

3) Eat small, nutritious meals -- Skipping meals does nothing more than slow down your metabolism.

4) Get plenty of rest--The positive changes that occur to your body mostly happen while you're asleep.

5) Enjoy yourself--Take advantage of the extra energy exercise provides and transfer it to the planning of your event.

To Register or Not to Register (for Wedding Gifts)
I say always register for gifts! You see, people tend to spend more on wedding gifts than any other occasion! For example, when I got married, my husband's grandparents gave us $1000 and we never get gifts from them, not even for Christmas!Think about it, there are all sorts of things that you will need and want for your new home. (Or even your old home) Register for them all, everything from bath towels to good china and anything in between, even the non-traditional stuff, don't be scared.

Photography Success Without School
What I learned from a mentor that enabled me to go from an amateur photographer to a professional portrait photographer in very specific steps is something I like to pass on. Rather than spending countless hours in classes learning every possible detail, I learned just the necessary specifics and now I work out of my home full time and have been in business for over 17 years, but I started out with practically nothing; just an interest in photography and the need to earn more money.

What To Look For In A Photography School
Unlike some school programs that are offered in all state universities and colleges, photography, as a full-pledged course, is not as common. In fact, only a handful of art schools have such a comprehensive program.
