WPD Creative Wedding Photo Contest Finalists Revealed for Public Voting and Critique

Boston, MA (PRWEB) August 21, 2007 -- Wedding Photography Directory (WPD) (http://www.weddingphotographydirectory) announced its latest 2007 Summer Creative Wedding Photo Contest (http://www.weddingphotographydirectory.com/wedding-photo/for-wedding-photographers/contest.aspx) has received over 1,500 entries from WPD members and outside photographers. After careful internal review, the leading 100 finalists are now selected for public viewing throughout the entire contest. With the $1,000 grand prize award at stake, contest photos are judged by public viewers to determine the final three winners and runner-up contestants.

Daily Leads - Daily Wedding Photographer Contest Leaders Page (http://www.weddingphotographydirectory.com/wedding-photo/for-wedding-photographers/contest-leaders.aspx) reveals leading photographers on the latest date, and a small aggregated portion of the entire contest period. The data is displayed to the public for statistical entertainment purposes.

Unique Photography Contest Voting Tracking System - Public visitors' votes are analyzed to determine the final three winners. Information such as a visitor's IP Address, ISP, Internet Gateway, Computer Setup, Geographic Location, and Duplicated Votes Filtering are automatically collected to determine the authenticity of each vote. No privacy sensitive information of the visitors is collected or exposed to third parties. The detail of how WPD uses the public visitors' information to determine the authenticity of each public vote is concealed in order to maximize the voting integrity.

Moderated Public Contest Critiques - Public critiques are strictly moderated by the WPD staff to ensure that all comments are constructive. The goal for the public critique is to promote positive open artistic discussion, sharing of knowledge and community building.

Fair Contestant Photo Placement - Due to human nature of favoring content toward the top of a page, the order of contestants' wedding photographs is randomly displayed. The photos are shuffled on a daily basis to maximize fairness of placement and voters' judgment.

Choosing Wedding Cakes
When choosing your cake it naturally occurs to brides to think flowers, colours, patterns and before long they are creating the dream cake-without first reminding themselves that its ultimately destined to be eaten by their reception guests!I encourage my brides and grooms to first think what their guest list consists of in terms of population cross section; Older folk do prefer fruit cake in general, whilst younger people seem to go more for sponge. The point being, the choice here dictates the size of the cake; you need roughly twice the sponge to fruit.

Is Digital Photography Better Than Classic Photography?
When it comes to photography, the digital wave is very much in evidence and yet, both operate on the same principles. Both have a lens, an aperture and a shutter. The difference lies in how the image is formed. Classic or traditional photography uses film on which the image is captured and then developed in a darkroom with chemicals to give you negatives.
