Think Tank Photo Releases First Camera Bags Designed to Disguise Photography Gear

Santa Rosa, CA(PRWeb) March 28, 2007 -- For photographers operating in urban or dangerous environments, carrying thousands of dollars worth of photo equipment can be an invitation to have their gear stolen. Given the size of most gear set-ups, it is increasingly difficult to keep from attracting unwanted attention. To aid in lessening this threat, Think Tank Photo


has released a new line of shoulder bags-- the Urban Disguise --in six sizes designed to allow photographers to travel in style while still protecting their valuable equipment from prying eyes.

Urban Disguise bags are intentionally designed not to look like camera bags, thus allowing photographers to carry even their larger lenses and laptops into potentially perilous settings. They are specifically designed for Digital SLRs and for holding the bag close to the photographer's body. Each model feature multiple pockets, YKK locking zipper sliders, and a seam-sealed raincover. Specifically:

- Urban Disguise 10 - Designed to hold a small SLR with the lens attached and one to two lenses with the hood.

- Urban Disguise 20 - Designed to hold a SLR with lens attached and one to two lenses with the hood.

- Urban Disguise 30 - Designed to a SLR body and multiple lenses, including up to a 70 - 200 2.8 with the hood reversed.

- Urban Disguise 40 - Designed to hold two SLR bodies and multiple lenses, including up to a 70 - 200 2.8 with the hood reversed.

- Urban Disguise 50 - In addition to holding multiple SLRs and lenses (including up to a 70 - 200 2.8 with the hood reversed), it will hold some 15-inch laptops.

- Urban Disguise 60 - In addition to holding multiple SLRs and lenses (including up to a 70 - 200 2.8 with the hood reversed), it will hold 15- to 17-inch laptops.

Think Tank Photo is dedicating a percentage of sales of Urban Disguise shoulder bags to Reporters Without Borders USA. Reporters Without Borders has fought for press freedom on a daily basis since it was founded in 1985.
